Solving tech problems (on Codewars, Hackerrank, etc.) and seeing the different solutions is a practical analogy of the axiom "there are many ways to the truth".
Some are more winding than others, some more efficient but hard to deduce, some that are more instructive, to help the next person benefit from the author's discovery.
As I watch the world spill gasoline and make several attempts to light itself on fire, I find great humility in remembering that though I wouldn't address issues quite the same, some people just have to slog through the ugly bits to get to their truth. Honoring that process can be hard. I can be patient but I certainly reserve the right to bring stuff up in (code) review so we can improve together.
